South Australian Showjumping Club (SASJC), Adelaide Hills

A.S.J.C. is located at Jeff Evans` picturesque property on the outskirts of the lovely town of Wistow in the Adelaide Hills and can be found on the corner of Daniels Road and Wellington Road.

The property boasts a full size, fully enclosed indoor arena complete with lighting and spectator seating. Outdoors boasts a large grass arena with the rolling southern hills as a back drop. Nestled on the hill overlooking the grass arena is a fenced sand arena that is used as the warm up arena. The sand arena is a short distance to both the indoor and grass arenas and the views are fantastic!

The jumping equipment is first class and includes some fantastic solid obstacles (filling) to make for an attractive and challenging show jumping course.

The club has a canteen within the indoor facility and serves hot and cold food and drinks at every event. A variety of club merchandise can also be purchased from the canteen.

On the opposite side of the indoor arena is the enclosed judges box.

SASJC holds several shows each year including the major classes the Cygnet Rambler Cup and Fair Play Trophy.

During the colder months of May, June and July the Winter Series is run in the indoor arena. The series features freshmans rounds in the morning and three competition classes in the afternoon. A very popular series that caters for horses and riders of all levels.

SASJC holds schools and clinics for the various equestrian disciplines throughout the year. Guest instructors include Jaime Murray, Jeff Bloomfield and Vince Corvi.

Mt Barker RDA club [Riding for the Disabled Association] keeps a number of horses on Jeff`s property. RDA runs riding sessions for their members Tuesday mornings. RDA always needs suitable horses, gear and volunteers so contact your local branch for more details.
